FAQ

The Apple TV questions we actually get asked

Straight answers on App Store availability, sideloading, resolution, and what to expect.

App Store availability

Getting an app onto Apple TV

Is there an official IPTV app in the Apple TV App Store?

Apple periodically removes and re-adds generic IPTV player apps from the App Store, so availability shifts. When a compatible player is not listed, sideloading one through Xcode or a third-party installer is the common workaround — the Setup Guide covers both routes.

Do I need to jailbreak my Apple TV?

No. Nothing here requires jailbreaking. A compatible player app installed normally through the App Store, or sideloaded through Apple's own developer tools, is all that is needed.

Sideloading

The Xcode / sideload method

Do I really need a Mac to sideload?

Yes, at least briefly — Xcode only runs on macOS. If you do not own one, borrowing a friend's Mac for the initial setup is enough; nothing about the process needs ongoing Mac access afterward.

Why does the sideloaded app disappear after about a week?

Apps installed through a free Apple ID in Xcode carry a 7-day certificate. A paid Apple Developer account removes that limit, but is not required — reinstalling periodically through Xcode takes a few minutes.

Is sideloading against Apple's rules?

No — sideloading through Xcode's own developer tools is an Apple-supported way to install apps on your own device, not a workaround or jailbreak.

IPTV basics

What IPTV Apple TV actually is

What is IPTV Apple TV?

IPTV Apple TV is a streaming subscription built with Apple TV as the primary target device — live channels and on-demand content delivered over your internet connection, set up through a compatible player app on your Apple TV, in up to 4K where your plan, device, and the source allow it.

4K on Apple TV

Resolution and streaming quality

Does this actually run well on Apple TV hardware?

Yes — both the Apple TV HD and every Apple TV 4K generation have enough processing power to decode compatible streams smoothly, including up to 4K where the source content and your connection support it.

Does Apple TV HD support 4K content?

No — the 4th-generation Apple TV HD tops out at 1080p regardless of the source resolution. 4K needs an Apple TV 4K model.

What internet speed does 4K need on Apple TV?

At least 25 Mbps of sustained download speed is recommended, ideally over Ethernet into the Apple TV rather than Wi-Fi.

Subscriptions

Subscription plans

What do the subscription plans cost?

Four plan lengths: 1 Month ($14.99), 3 Months ($34.99), 6 Months ($54.99), and 12 Months ($79.99) in US dollars. Every plan includes the same full channel and VOD catalog — longer terms just lower the effective monthly price.

Trial

24-hour trial

What does the 24-hour trial include?

The 24-hour trial costs $1.00 and gives you 24 hours of full access, enough time to confirm the player app you picked actually runs well on your specific Apple TV model and internet connection.

Other devices

Beyond Apple TV

Does this work on iPhone and iPad too?

Yes, through a compatible player app from the App Store — useful as a companion screen or a backup if the Apple TV is busy.

What about Smart TVs, Fire TV, or Android boxes?

All supported. Apple TV is the primary focus of this site, but the same subscription works across every device we list in the Setup Guide.

Compatibility

Playlist formats & multi-device use

What playlist formats do you support?

Both M3U playlist URLs and Xtream Codes-style logins (username, password, server URL), covering nearly any compatible player app on any supported device.

Do you support an EPG (program guide)?

Most compatible player apps load a program guide automatically from your playlist or login details. If yours does not, check its settings for a manual EPG URL field — see the Setup Guide.

Can I use my subscription on my Apple TV and my phone at once?

Each plan covers one device at a time. Running the same credentials on two devices simultaneously can cause playback issues on both.

Internet

Internet requirements

Does IPTV use a lot of data?

Yes — streaming video, especially in 4K, uses significantly more data than browsing or SD video. Worth keeping in mind if you have a data cap.

Billing

Billing questions

Do plans renew automatically?

Only if you explicitly choose a recurring option at checkout. Otherwise access ends at the end of your paid term.

Is this billed through my Apple ID?

No. This is billed directly by us, separately from any App Store purchases or subscriptions on your Apple ID.

Refunds

Refunds

How do refunds work?

See the full Refund Policy for the specific terms covering trials and subscription plans.

Troubleshooting

When something is not working

What do I do if streaming keeps buffering on Apple TV?

Check the internet connection first — ideally test with Ethernet — then see the full troubleshooting checklist on the Setup Guide.

Support

Contacting support

What if I get stuck installing a player app on Apple TV?

Contact support with your Apple TV model and generation, and what step you are stuck on — Apple TV setup has a few extra steps compared to other devices, and that is specifically what the support inbox is there to help with.
